Symptoms of mesothilioma/mesothelioma

Mesothilioma/Mesothelioma is a silent killer that lies in wait for decades in your body before finally making its presence known and causing fatal results. It is a form of cancer that is very rare. There are two main types of the disease. Some symptoms of mesothilioma/mesothelioma are shortness of breath and chest pain. Mesothilioma/Mesothelioma is treated by surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy etc. Plueral mesothilioma/Mesothelioma (lungs) are about 75% of the cases presented. The symptoms of this type of the cancer are difficulty breathing and chronic coughing. The problem, and the one that is most insidious, is that these are the exact same problems that someone with allergies or a cold might have. Since the symptoms are similar, the disease can go undiagnosed for a long time.A few symptoms of mesothilioma/mesothelioma:-

1.Shortness of breath and chest pain is the first indication.
2.Weight loss, fever, cough and night sweats.
3.Difficulty swallowing
4.Loss of appetite
5.Inability to sleep
6.Anemia or swelling of the feet.
7.Changes in bowel habits
8.Hoarseness of voice
9.Distention of the abdomen
10.Development of lumps under the skin on the abdomen
11.Digestive disturbances.

Many of the symptoms of mesothilioma/mesothelioma mirror those of other more common physical conditions. In fact, this is another factor that contributes to the difficulty in diagnosing mesothilioma/mesothelioma; its symptoms are often mistaken for the flu, bronchitis, pneumonia or heart disease.

If mesothilioma/mesothelioma is still suspected after the x-ray, an MRI or CT scan will most likely be in order. These sophisticated imaging processes allow an even closer look at organs such as the lungs or abdomen. A blood test may be ordered as well because such tests can measure the levels of specific proteins, which might aid in the diagnosis.
